Big Tobacco has the next generation of smokers in their sights.
In this episode of the Public Health Power Hour, we discuss how the tobacco industry continues to target youth with new addictive products, sleek designs and candy flavors.
Yayne Hailu, Senior Content Strategist with the global tobacco control watchdog STOP was joined by special guest Janan, Youth Ambassador, Truth Initiative, for a firsthand account of the dangers of nicotine use.
We also heard from Emma Green, Senior Program Manager at STOP about the new Modern Addiction campaign and what we can do to protect young people.
And Dr. Mike Amato, Research Investigator & Methodologist with Truth Initiative joined us to talk about This is Quitting, the first-of-its-kind program to help young people quit vaping.
